The movie tells the story of Madeline, a 14-year-old Palestinian girl whose life changed forever after her father was attacked by an Israeli boat in the waters of Gaza, leaving him with a leg injury and the loss of his fishing boat, a year ago. Madeline is forced to become the primary financial provider for her family, taking her father’s place on the fishing boat with courage, becoming the family’s financial provider and the first female fisher in Gaza.
